Singapore Structural Steel Society is offering 1 to 2 Scholarship to deserving 1st year students pursuing the Diploma in Civil Engineering with Business (DCEB) course in the School of Architecture & The Built Environment, Singapore Polytechnic.

Award
The award of S$6000 per selected recipients of up to 3 per year would be disbursed over 3 years of the study. The arrangement would be $2000 per year (maximum 3 years) subject to satisfactory academic performance in order for the award of the scholarship to continue in each year.

Eligibility

• As we are looking at students who have keen intest and work in the construction industry after their teriatary education, newly enrolled full-time students who had chosen this course (Diploma in Civil Engineering with Business) as their first choice during JAE 2018 will be given pirority.
• Good GCE “O” level results and good CCA records.
• Application is also open to students who are enrolled through EAE, PFP, JPAE with good academic results, CCA records and aptitude.
• Good character and positive attitude.
• Independent and self-motivated.
• Good interpersonal and communication skills.
• All Singaporean, PRs, and foreign students
  • Should there be no suitable Singaporean or PR, the applications will be opened to eligible candidates from other countries
• priority will be given to family members of SSSS member. (e.g student’s parents or siblings who are member of SSSS)

Conditions of Award

• Tensure of Award :
  • Tenable for up to three years, subject to consistent good academic results with semestral GPA of at least 3.5 and good CCA records.
