PPVC MANUFACTURER ACCREDITATION SCHEME

The PPVC (Prefabricated Pre-finished Volumetric Construction) Manufacturer Accreditation Scheme was launched at the BCA-REDAS Quality and Productivity Seminar 2016 held on 29 March 2016 organised by the BCA Academy. The scheme is developed jointly by BCA, SCI and SSSS. SSSS will administer and award the Certificate of Accreditation for steel and hybrid PPVC systems. It is mandatory to use PPVC in selected non-landed residential sites sold under the Government Land Sales (GLS) Programme. The Land Sales’ conditions as well as the Building Control (Buildability and Productivity) Regulations have been amended to reflect this mandatory requirement for PPVC. The accreditation assessment emphasises on capabilities, processes and specific quality criteria for PPVC. The scheme ensures quality assurance and control in the production of PPVC. It sets the process for PPVC manufacturers to produce high quality PPVC systems and maintain the good quality standards.
